  • Our microschool is located in Riverside, Utah. We are a short driving distance from a local playground. As one of Riverside’s first microschools, we are proud to offer a more personal, flexible approach to school for families in our area!

  • We follow a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 2:15 PM. We welcome further discussion to better understand your specific needs if you require flexibility!

  • We want to ensure that we’re a good fit for your family! We offer a one-month happiness guarantee. This 30-day trial period offers the opportunity for each family to determine if we’re the best fit for them. This also allows our team the opportunity to evaluate and ensure that we have the resources needed to meet the needs of each student. Should you opt for this route, you will have the opportunity to select either the monthly payment plan or the annual plan, with the exception of the one month you have already paid for.

  • Our institution serves students in grades three through eight. However, due to the rising demand for the microschool model, there is an increasing necessity for additional locations and age groups. As we expand, we intend to establish distinct microschools tailored to meet the needs of both younger and older students. This expansion will be guided by the availability and demand within our community and nearby areas.

  • We are equipped to support neurodivergent learners, encompassing those who are exceptional and gifted. Our founder, Kristina Hanson, possesses seven years of experience teaching in resource classrooms and has worked with individuals with disabilities for over 25 years. She holds a current Utah License to instruct special education students with mild to moderate disabilities. Kristina has a proven track record of designing, differentiating, and modifying curricula to meet diverse individual needs. In addition, she has served as an advisor for the National Honor Society - Bear River Chapter for the past six years, mentoring academically gifted students at the high school level. Kristina’s Master's thesis research focused on the impact of a growth mindset curriculum on the self-efficacy of students in special education settings.

  • We will collaborate with your family to develop a comprehensive plan that aligns with your educational goals and meets your child's unique learning needs. Each student who enrolls will undergo an initial intake meeting and evaluation to assess their educational requirements. Based on this evaluation, each student will receive a personalized learning plan tailored to their individual needs and interests, guiding the selection of appropriate curricula.

All students will engage in inquiry-based and project-based learning as a fundamental component of their daily experience at Intrinsic Motivation 4 Learners. Each day will culminate in a specific outcome aligned with one of the core skills being developed, such as composing a paragraph summarizing their learning, preparing a presentation, or designing a model. These daily outcomes will be documented in their portfolios, emphasizing growth through performance rather than traditional assessments.

  • The educational curriculum for all students is structured around the interests and preferences of both students and their parents. Accordingly, you are encouraged to introduce any curriculum you wish to explore during Focus Skills time. Students will engage in the designated inquiry-based and project-based learning activities alongside their peers during these sessions. Nonetheless, if the curriculum you provide can be integrated into these learning frameworks, you are welcome to utilize it.

  • We are an approved UFA (Utah Fits All) vendor. We accept direct pay via the ClassWallet vendor marketplace.

  • Families are still welcome to enroll, even if they don’t qualify for the UFA scholarship. Tuition will then be paid directly from the parents. Those families will then be able to submit an application for other possible scholarships through the microschool, in exchange for services. These will be approved on a case-by-case basis.

We will also have fundraising opportunities for students to participate in to help pay for their tuition. Those opportunities are TBD.
